Japanese toy brand PROOF, which releases various anime-related merchandise, gashapon toys, and PVC scale figures, is scheduled to release a 1/7 scale figure of Elaina (イレイナ), the protagonist of the TV anime series 'Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina', in late January 2024, priced at 24,750 JPY.
'Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina' (魔女の旅々) is a novel series by Japanese author Jougi Shiraishi. It was first self-published on Amazon Kindle in 2014, then revised and released as a paperback by SB Creative in 2016. Sequels have also been released. A manga adaptation began serialization in November 2018, and an anime adaptation, consisting of 12 episodes, premiered in October 2020. The story follows the protagonist Elaina, who, inspired by a book called 'The Adventures of Nike' from a young age, aspires to become a witch and travel the world. At 14, she became a witch apprentice and was recognized by her master, the 'Stardust Witch' Fran. Due to her hair color, she was bestowed the title 'Ashen Witch'. The story unfolds as she begins her travels, encountering various people and situations, some of which are thought-provoking and satirical. Her past experiences of becoming a witch are also occasionally interspersed.

This Elaina figure by PROOF is crafted in 1/7 scale, standing approximately 25.5 cm tall. However, since her witch hat is detachable, her height without the hat is about 24 cm. Magnets are embedded in the hat and head for attachment. Elaina's overall design maintains her inner attire paired with a purple witch's robe. This particular version features a sleeveless shirt and skirt, subtly revealing Elaina's shoulders and beautiful legs, adding a touch of allure. Coupled with her dynamic pose, she remains charmingly cute. Every detail is meticulously reproduced, including the witch's proof brooch on her chest and the emblem at the end of her hat. The figure comes with a rock-shaped base, evoking an adventurous travel atmosphere.
