To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the anime "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED" broadcast and the announcement of the theatrical film "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM", BANDAI SPIRITS' collector's toy division, TAMASHII NATIONS, today showcased prototypes of two new products from the 'METAL ROBOT SPIRITS' series, which combines metallic paint finishes with alloy frames: "Strike Freedom Gundam 20th Anniversary Ver." and "Infinite Justice Gundam 20th Anniversary Ver.". Detailed product information will be released soon.
Both the "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Strike Freedom Gundam" and "METAL ROBOT SPIRITS Infinite Justice Gundam", released sequentially in 2018, were designed by sculptor Ryu Sakano, featuring both "in-show aesthetics" and "high-freedom articulation". Not only do they utilize numerous alloy parts for the frame joints, but the entire body is also finished with a rich metallic coating and abundant body markings, presenting a cool, weighty texture. Of course, they also come with a wealth of weapon accessories such as the "Super DRAGOON System" and "Fatum-01", allowing for dynamic battle scenes.
The two 20th Anniversary versions showcased this time feature slightly adjusted color tones in their paintwork. The most noticeable difference, however, is the newly designed body markings, including ornate gold markings on the 8 "Super DRAGOON" mobile weapon wings, Infinite Justice's shoulder armor, and skirt armor. The base also features a brand-new design with a printed head portrait.
