Japanese model manufacturer MEGAHOUSE's transformable action figure series "VARIABLE ACTION" has announced its latest product from "Future GPX Cyber Formula," the "VA 2ndLAP Future GPX Cyber Formula Super Asurada 01 Ver.2," with a suggested retail price of 26,180 JPY, slated for release in January 2024!
"Super Asurada 01," the beloved car of "Future GPX Cyber Formula" protagonist Hayato Kazami, is a dedicated racing chassis developed by his father, Hiroyuki Kazami, exclusively for Asurada. It is the first racing car in the series' racing world to feature three body transformation systems: "Circuit Mode (Normal Mode)," "Aero Mode," and "Off-Road Mode," enabling ultra-high-speed driving. It first appeared at the fifth race, the British GP, and after its introduction, Hayato Kazami's points soared, leading him step by step towards becoming a world champion.
The "VA 2ndLAP Future GPX Cyber Formula Super Asurada 01 Ver.2" makes its reappearance as a new Ver.2 model, with redesigned dimensions and sculpting to bring its overall size closer to a 1/24 scale. The paint scheme has also become more refined and deeper, with realistic metallic paint details enhancing the vehicle's texture and realism. In addition to transformation designs such as the extendable rear wing and deployable boosters for "Circuit Mode (Normal Mode)" and "Aero Mode," this iteration also adds a new mechanism for front wheel steering (angle)!
