Pokémon Center Japan's original gashapon series will release a hilarious new product featuring Magikarp: the "Leap! Infinite Magikarp (はねる! ∞コイキング)" wind-up gashapon. There are three types in total, with a reference price of 400 JPY per turn, scheduled to be exclusively available at Pokémon Centers in Japan starting July 8, 2023~
The incredibly popular Water-type Pokémon, "Magikarp," is known for its extremely weak abilities. It appears as a red fish with a crown-like dorsal fin. Its power is very low, and without special training, its only skill is to splash around in place. However, its reproductive capacity is astonishing, and its vitality is tenacious; it can survive in even the dirtiest water and live for a long time on land without water. After evolving into Gyarados, its abilities grow significantly!
The "Leap! Infinite Magikarp (はねる! ∞コイキング)" gashapon features Magikarp designed as a wind-up toy approximately 6 cm in size. By winding it up, it mimics the struggle of flapping its fins when out of water~ It includes three types: Male Magikarp, Female Magikarp, and Golden Magikarp. The more Magikarp you collect, the funnier the scene becomes! The gashapon capsule is also designed in the shape of a Poké Ball. Come and collect these hilariously useless Magikarp~
