BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan is releasing the latest product from the official spin-off Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Urthr Hunt, the "HG 1/144 Gundam Hajiroboshi Second Form" in their 1/144 scale Gunpla 'HG (High Grade)' series. The suggested retail price is 2,860 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in November 2023!
The protagonist mobile suit appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans Urthr Hunt, the Gundam Hajiroboshi, is a mobile suit hidden deep within the power section of the Venusian colony "Radonitsa." It has been secretly maintained and preserved for many years by the Damna family, guardians of the protagonist "Wistario Afam." It was extensively modified using one of the 72 Gundam Frames and reappears in the form named "Hajiroboshi," after an ancient name for Venus. When the colony was attacked by the MS forces belonging to "Omden Colony Company," Wistario Afam piloted the Hajiroboshi to the front lines. Later, to cope with the intense battle conditions, the "Gundam Hajiroboshi Second Form" was restored, featuring a new backpack and lightweight shoulder armor, enhancing its mobility and agility.
Making its debut in the HG series, the "HG 1/144 Gundam Hajiroboshi Second Form" features newly sculpted parts for the chest, shoulders, and waist backpack. The chest armor's color scheme is faithfully reproduced using multi-color molded parts. The skirt armor's thrusters are independently movable on multiple axes, and the heat fins can also be deployed. By sliding the lower armor and using lead wire and special parts, the rope anchor projection seen in the series can be recreated! As new armaments for the Second Form, it includes the Cross Mace and Smart Crab Shield.
