It's been a while since the latest Spider-Man animated film, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, was released. However, some questions likely remain unanswered—for instance, why was Miguel O'Hara, the Spider-Man from Earth-928B in the film, so fixated on the protagonist Miles having taken the spider powers that rightfully belonged to Earth-42, causing that universe to lose the power that could have protected its world and fall into despair, as we saw at the end of the movie? Did Miles gaining powers lead to the death of Peter in his native universe, Earth-1610B?

Does this mean that only one person can gain spider abilities in a single universe?
