World-renowned TV and film special effects company "WETA Workshop"'s "Miniature Statue" product series recently announced its latest work from "The Lord of the Rings", the "BALROG IN MORIA" full-body statue! Expected to ship in Q1 2024.

In the lore of "The Lord of the Rings", the "Balrog", like Saruman and Gandalf, was originally a "Maia", but fell due to serving Morgoth. After Morgoth's defeat, the Balrog lay dormant deep within Khazad-dûm. However, as time passed, the Balrog was awakened by Dwarves seeking to mine more Mithril, becoming the nightmare of Durin's folk ever since. The Balrog holds many titles, including Balrog of Moria, Flame of Udûn, and Durin's Bane.

After releasing a rich array of Balrog statues, WETA's latest "Balrog in Moria" in the Miniature Statue series stands at a compact 19 cm tall, making it relatively easy to collect. Beyond vividly recreating the Balrog's menacing stance as it prepares to attack, the statue boasts outstanding details such as its rough skin texture, the fiery orange glow emanating from its body, and the blazing flames on its back. Its massive outstretched wings further enhance the piece's dynamic presence! The base features the damaged architectural remnants of the Mines of Moria.
