Kaiyodo, a Japanese toy brand, has officially announced and opened pre-orders on its website for the latest DC-themed entry in its "Amazing Yamaguchi (アメコミヤマグチ)" highly articulated figure series: "Catwoman" (キャットウーマン) from the video game "Batman: Arkham Knight"! It is scheduled for release in March 2024.
August 24, 2023 Update:
This "Amazing Yamaguchi Catwoman," sculpted once again by veteran sculptor "Katsuhisa Yamaguchi," stands approximately 16 cm tall. Not only are her form-fitting black bodysuit and long boots meticulously detailed, but the curves of her body and the roundness of her chest and hips are also excellent. The head sculpt, which I personally adore, deviates from the more rigid facial contours seen in the game, adopting a more "bishojo" (beautiful girl) aesthetic while retaining Catwoman's playful charm and a hint of alluring mystery. It includes two interchangeable faces, one with a tongue-out expression, and an additional interchangeable head sculpt with goggles. The head sculpts without goggles also feature articulated, sparkling eyes, making this Catwoman even more lifelike!
Accessories include three different types of whips, a collar bomb (首輪爆弾) to recreate the scene where she was imprisoned by the Riddler in the game, three different styles of gold and silver treasures, and a rich selection of interchangeable hands with extended claws. The tongue-out expression is truly fantastic~ As long as the face sculpt isn't flawed, this will be an incredibly beautiful Catwoman figure!
▼ Ordering from Kaiyodo's official direct stores will also grant you a bonus unmasked head sculpt!
