Bandai Candy, the shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., is releasing the latest product from its popular "SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT" assembly model shokugan series, based on the hot-blooded mecha anime Gurren Lagann. The new item is: "SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] Gurren Lagann: Drill Set That Pierces Heaven, Earth, and Tomorrow," priced at 9,999 JPY and scheduled for a November 2023 release, exclusively on PREMIUM BANDAI!
To celebrate the anime's 15th anniversary, the popular "SMP [SHOKUGAN MODELING PROJECT] Gurren Lagann: Drill Set That Pierces Heaven, Earth, and Tomorrow" assembly model shokugan is being released. It includes multiple parts that can be equipped to the first Gurren Lagann release, with the most notable being the extra-large drill to recreate the signature move "Giga Drill Break"! The drill features a hollow design, making it easy to hold despite its massive size, allowing for dynamic poses that pierce the heavens! Also included are the foldable flight pack "Gurren Wing" (approximately 190mm when unfolded) and Gurren Boomerangs.
The Great Gurren Brigade's initial hideout, perfect for recreating everyday scenes unrelated to battle—it can also be worn on the back to reproduce the opening scene!
Next up are the Gunmen used by the "Black Siblings," "King Kittan" and "Kiyaluga," measuring 120mm and 90mm respectively, with their unique shapes precisely recreated! King Kittan features a pull-down jaw design to reveal a gritting teeth expression; its back can be equipped with detachable missiles, and its articulated arms and legs allow for flexible posing! Paired with Kiyaluga, which can transform into a spear and shield (weapon form), they can combine to form King Kittan DX!
