BENELIC Co., Ltd., the Japanese company responsible for operating merchandise at the "Acorn Republic" themed stores, is set to release the latest addition to their popular Studio Ghibli 'My Neighbor Totoro' themed blind box figure series: "Pose Full Collection DX Mei-chan" (tentative translation, ポーズがいっぱいコレクションDX メイちゃん). There will be six adorable Mei-chan figures available as blind box collectibles! The suggested retail price for the set is 7,920 JPY, with a release in July 2023.
Following Totoro, the "Pose Full Collection DX Mei-chan" blind box figures join the series, vividly recreating Mei-chan's classic poses from the film in a compact size. The collection features five standard designs plus a secret one, all meticulously crafted in every detail. These include Mei-chan with dirty hands, Mei-chan peeking at a small Totoro through a hole in the bottom of a flowerpot, Mei-chan holding corn and calling her sister a dummy, Mei-chan receiving a gift from Totoro in the rain, and Mei-chan performing a ritual (?) with Totoro to make seeds grow quickly... Each figure perfectly captures her adorable expressions and spirit, allowing fans to relive scenes from the film through these collectibles!
