Japan's renowned toy manufacturer Kaiyodo, under its action figure series "Amazing Yamaguchi" (アメイジング・ヤマグチ), is scheduled to release an action figure featuring the complete equipment set of the flagship monster "Malzeno" (メル・ゼナ) from CAPCOM's popular game "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak" in February 2024! The price will be 17,600 JPY.
Malzeno (メル・ゼナ) is the flagship monster of "Sunbreak", the major expansion for "Monster Hunter Rise". Its appearance is remarkably sharp, with wings colored a blood-like red, and it is a formidable Elder Dragon in the story. Its equipment comes with the "Bloodblight" skill, which allows hunters to recover health when attacking injured parts of a monster.
This Malzeno equipment action figure from "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak", released by Kaiyodo, is also supervised by renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, the primary design reference is the male Malzeno equipment from the game, featuring a full silver-colored base armor with red and gold trim. The sharp, Malzeno-esque details are meticulously reproduced.
For weapons, there are two interchangeable options: the Malzeno Great Sword, which is taller than the figure itself at 19 cm long, and a Sword & Shield (including a small shield). Both weapons can be equipped on the figure using small parts, allowing for a sheathed appearance. Additionally, the set includes effect parts for the in-game essential item "Wirebug", four sets of interchangeable hand parts, and a display stand. Coupled with the series' excellent articulation, various in-game actions can be easily recreated. Pre-orders placed through Kaiyodo's official online store will receive "Well-Done Steak" and "Dango" accessory bonuses.
