GOOD SMILE COMPANY of Japan's affordable pre-painted figure series "POP UP PARADE" first unveiled the "Gurren Lagann XL size" based on the popular anime film "Gurren Lagann" at "Anime Expo 2023". Today (28th), they announced the "POP UP PARADE Gurren Lagann XL size Limited Edition" non-scale PVC pre-painted figure, exclusive to the GSC online store, with a reference price of 35,000 JPY and an estimated release in February 2024!
The colossal robot "Gurren Lagann" is formed by the combination of "Lagann," piloted by protagonist Simon, and "Gurren," piloted by Kamina. Unlike the typical concept of robot combination, Gurren Lagann harnesses equivalent power through Simon's "Spiral Power," continuously evolving with Simon's fighting spirit and mental growth. Drills can extend from various parts of its body to attack enemies, and the large drill on its right arm can unleash the devastating "Giga Drill Break" for a one-hit kill.
The "POP UP PARADE Gurren Lagann XL size Limited Edition" non-scale PVC pre-painted figure boasts an impressive height of 40 cm! This is approximately 2.5 times larger than the "Simon (Youth Ver.)" from the same series, making for a truly imposing display. Similar to the regular version, it captures a passionate, shouting pose, with the iconic sunglasses and massive Spiral Power effect parts crafted from clear materials to create a powerful sense of dynamism. The limited edition features a special metallic paint application on its sharp armor, achieving a realistic mecha texture!
