The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced its latest product, "Noir," from the anime 'SYNDUALITY Noir,' slated for release in December 2023.
'SYNDUALITY' is a brand-new sci-fi IP launched by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc. of Japan. The story, themed around the "intertwining" of humans and AI, is set in a world where deadly poisonous rain falls. This lethal toxin once caused a catastrophic disaster known as ≪The Tears of the New Moon≫, wiping out 92% of the world's population. The remaining humans established city-states underground. Over a century later, humanity finally acquired the technology to overcome this rain, leading to the emergence of a profession called "Drifters." These Drifters, accompanied by "Magus" (bionic humans equipped with dual-thinking AI), pilot bipedal walking robots called "Coffins" to combat the human threat, "Enders," and venture to the surface to search for precious resources like "AO Crystals."
The heroine of the anime version, 'SYNDUALITY Noir,' "Noir," is the Magus partnered with protagonist Kanata. Waking from a long slumber, she has lost her past memories and appears somewhat clumsy, even struggling to dress herself. However, once she boards a "Coffin," she unexpectedly demonstrates exceptional abilities in combat support.
The "S.H.Figuarts Noir" faithfully recreates her in-series appearance with a highly articulated design, standing approximately 14.5 cm tall. The intricate costume details are sculpted with precision, while also incorporating flexible articulation. Her seemingly bulky jacket features precise part segmentation, allowing it to move with the arm joints without needing to be removed. If removal is desired, it can be achieved by swapping parts. Additionally, accessories include four interchangeable face parts, multiple hand gestures, a toy camera, and a dedicated display stand, enabling collectors to recreate Noir's various charming situations!
