BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd.'s TAMASHII NATIONS collector's toy division in Japan has announced the latest product from "NieR:Automata Ver1.1a" for their popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts": "S.H.Figuarts 2B". With a suggested retail price of 8,800 JPY, it is scheduled for release in January 2024!
Humanity's ultimate weapon, the new model android "YoRHa No.2 Type B", is abbreviated as 2B, where "Type B" signifies "Battler" (a combat-type android). Like other YoRHa androids, 2B has silver-grey hair and wears a black Gothic Lolita-style outfit. She excels in close-quarters combat using swords and spears, and launches long-range attacks via her Pod. She is a calm and collected soldier, appearing quiet and reserved, but this is due to suppressing her emotions and expressions under orders from her superiors to "not have emotions".
The "S.H.Figuarts 2B" action figure stands approximately 15 cm tall, faithfully recreating her anime appearance. Her skirt is made of a soft material, and combined with articulated joints at the thighs, allows for dynamic poses without compromising her proportions. It includes interchangeable face parts such as a standard emotionless face, a battle expression, an emotionless face with her visor removed, a closed-eyes face, and a shouting face. Paired with her melee weapon "Virtuous Contract" and "Pod 042", you can recreate thrilling scenes from the series!
