BANDAI CANDY, the Shokugan division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., which releases the popular Gundam Shokugan series "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE" known for its intricate structures and details sculpted at an average height of 55mm, today announced the latest product, "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE RX-93ff ν Gundam & MSN-04FF Sazabi Set," slated for release in December 2023. This product will be exclusively sold on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The ν Gundam and Sazabi were originally mobile suits used by the two Newtype protagonists, Amuro Ray and Char Aznable, in their final battle in the theatrical anime film "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack." In Bandai Namco's "Life-sized ν Gundam Statue in Fukuoka" project, announced in 2021, these two units were redesigned with special armaments as the RX-93ff ν Gundam and MSN-04FF Sazabi, respectively. Their funnel armaments were transformed into the larger, more powerful "Long-Range Fin Funnels" and "Double Horn Funnels."
The main bodies of both mobile suits in the "FW GUNDAM CONVERGE CORE RX-93ff ν Gundam & MSN-04FF Sazabi Set" are based on previously released versions but feature new paint applications to faithfully reproduce the characteristic body colors and markings of the FF versions. The armament accessories include their respective beam rifles, beam sabers, beam shotgun rifles, beam tomahawks, and shields. They do not include the original funnel armaments; instead, they feature the FF version's newly designed "Long-Range Fin Funnels" and "Double Horn Funnels." The Long-Range Fin Funnels' barrel deployment state can be recreated by swapping parts.
