Japan's MEDICOS TOY company's "Chozokado Art Collection" series has announced its latest product from "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 1: Phantom Blood": the 1:1 scale "Stone Mask" (石仮面)! Scheduled for release in January 2024, it's dedicated to those who no longer wish to be human.
The "Stone Mask" is an artifact invented by Kars of the ancient humanoid race, the Pillar Men, to overcome sunlight and become the ultimate life form. When the Stone Mask is worn and blood is applied, bone needles extend from it to pierce the wearer's head, transforming them into an immortal vampire! In "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 1: Phantom Blood," after Dio made his historic declaration, "JOJO, I reject my humanity!", he used the blood of Jonathan Joestar's father as a sacrifice to transform into a demon, initiating his fated battle against JoJo.
This 1:1 scale "Stone Mask" stands at a total height of 25 cm and is crafted from PU material, faithfully recreating its sinister silhouette. The rocky texture of the surface, along with weathered cracks and peeling, are realistically depicted. Turning it over, you can even see realistic damage detailing along the edges and somewhat amusing nostrils; pre-ordering through the MEDICOS ONLINE SHOP will also grant two exclusive bonuses: a metal nameplate and a dedicated acrylic display stand, making for an even more impressive display.
