Japanese animation studio TRIGGER recently announced the Blu-ray disc product information for three film works: "GRIDMAN UNIVERSE," "SSSS.GRIDMAN The Movie: Compilation," and "SSSS.DYNAZENON The Movie: Compilation." Concurrently, they also revealed a limited edition that includes special color variant models from GOOD SMILE COMPANY's "THE GATTAI" series. This version will be exclusively sold on PONY CANYON's anime merchandise online store, Canime.
The theatrical film "GRIDMAN UNIVERSE" returns to the setting of the first work, "SSSS.GRIDMAN": the computer world "Tsutsujidai" where protagonists Yuta, Rikka, and others live. It brings together main characters such as Yomogi and Yume from the sequel "SSSS.DYNAZENON" for a dream collaboration! After Akane Shinjo, who created monsters, returned to the real world, and the mastermind Alexis Kerib was defeated by GRIDMAN, Tsutsujidai enjoyed peaceful daily life. However, just half a year later, mysterious monsters reappeared due to the convergence of multiple universes, prompting the GRIDMAN Alliance to reassemble.
The "GRIDMAN UNIVERSE" Canime Limited Edition is priced at 22,000 JPY. It will include the same Blu-ray disc and all bonus items as the special edition, along with the poseable model "THE GATTAI Tsuyoshi Nonaka Designer Color Gridman (Universe Fighter) Next Mission Ver." produced by GOOD SMILE COMPANY. This model is a modification of the previously released standard version, faithfully reproducing the new Universe Fighter form from the theatrical film. It is crafted with a height of approximately 14.5 cm and flexible joints, with its entire color scheme changed to a villain-like purple and gold. The Blu-ray disc itself will ship first on October 25, 2023, while the model is scheduled to ship in April 2024.
The "SSSS.GRIDMAN The Movie: Compilation" Canime Limited Edition is priced at 19,030 JPY. It will include the same Blu-ray disc and all bonus items as the special edition, along with the poseable model "THE GATTAI Tsuyoshi Nonaka Designer Color Shadowburn" produced by GOOD SMILE COMPANY. This model is a modification of the previously released standard version, maintaining the same overall size and combination mechanism, but with its color scheme changed to a deep purple, reminiscent of an evil shadow. The Blu-ray disc itself will ship first on September 27, 2023, while the model is scheduled to ship in March 2024.
The "SSSS.DYNAZENON The Movie: Compilation" Canime Limited Edition is priced at 24,530 JPY. It will include the same Blu-ray disc and all bonus items as the special edition, along with the poseable model "THE GATTAI Tsuyoshi Nonaka Designer Color Big Goldburn Next Mission Ver." produced by GOOD SMILE COMPANY. This model is a modification of the previously released standard version, faithfully reproducing the enhanced form from the theatrical film. It boasts a large size of approximately 34 cm in total length and features a combination and transformation mechanism, with its entire paintwork replaced by rich, cloud-like gradient colors. The Blu-ray disc itself will ship first on September 27, 2023, while the model is scheduled to ship in March 2024.
