The popular assembly model candy toy series 『SUPER MINIPLA』, released by BANDAI CANDY, the candy toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product from 《Chodenji Machine Voltes V》, the "Voltes V Vtogether Set", scheduled for release in December 2023. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
《Chodenji Machine Voltes V》 is one of the robot romance trilogy directed by anime director Tadao Nagahama. In the story, to prevent the Boazanian Empire from invading Earth, Dr. Kentaro Gō assembled a team to develop the super robot "Voltes V" to combat the giant battle machines "Beast Fighters" dispatched by the Empire. He also gathered five righteous youths to join the defense force for a year of rigorous training, allowing them to pilot the Volt Cruiser, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander, respectively. When the five machines form a V-formation and shout "LET’S VOLT IN!", they can combine into the mighty force "Voltes V" to save Earth.
The "Voltes V Vtogether Set" is a luxurious limited edition that adds rich content based on the standard version. In addition to retaining the transformation and combination mechanism of the five Volt Machines, the Voltes V main body also uses metallic-textured molding colors and new decals, different from the standard version, to recreate the style of "THE Chogokin GT-10 Voltes V" released in 1977.
In addition to the "Heavy Tank Mode replacement parts" and "Heavenly Sword" already included in the standard version, the product also adds open hands to recreate the completed combination pose, the sixth machine Mechanical Eagle installed on the back, the sixth Volt Team robot member "Little Octopus" created by Hiyoshi Gō, and a wealth of weapon accessories to recreate Voltes V's various special moves such as "Voltes Bazooka," "Gatling Missile," and "Chodenji Goma," significantly enhancing playability!
