Japanese toy brand Prime 1 Studio, known for releasing various high-quality character statues, will launch a 1/7 scale figure of the female character "Raphtalia" from the popular series "The Rising of the Shield Hero" in July 2024, under its new ACG character brand series "PRISMA WING"!
"The Rising of the Shield Hero" (盾の勇者の成り上がり) is a fantasy novel created by Japanese novelist Aneko Yusagi. It was initially serialized online, later adapted into a manga, and an anime adaptation premiered in 2019, with two seasons already aired and a third season scheduled for October 2023. The story follows the protagonist, Naofumi Iwatani, who, upon accidentally flipping through a book called "The Four Holy Weapons," is transported to another world and becomes the "Shield Hero." He can only rely on his shield as his sole weapon to protect himself.
Raphtalia (ラフタリア), a demi-human, is Naofumi Iwatani's first companion. Her original village was destroyed after the "First Wave," leading her to become a slave. After meeting Naofumi, she was helped by him and became his comrade. Initially appearing childlike, her appearance underwent significant changes as her level increased, maturing into a full-fledged adult woman. She is one of the people Naofumi himself declared as "most trustworthy." With considerable combat prowess, she serves as the primary attacker, becoming the finest sword by Naofumi's side.
This PRISMA WING Raphtalia figure stands approximately 21 cm tall. Unusually, Raphtalia's pose doesn't involve wielding her sword; instead, she uses it as a support, leaning on it with a playful and adorable expression. Her attire faithfully recreates her typical adventuring outfit, including leather gloves, long boots, and her dress, all meticulously reproduced. Her flowing long hair, the way she lifts one leg, and her wide eyes with a hint of an innocent smile further enhance her cuteness. The special base is designed with a grassy texture and includes a signpost. Furthermore, if purchased online through Prime 1 Studio, a special bonus is an alternate head sculpt featuring Raphtalia with her eyes squinted, significantly boosting her charm.
