Japan's renowned toy brand MEDICOM TOY (メディコム・トイ)'s VCD soft vinyl figure series (VINYL COLLECTIBLE DOLLS) will release a special edition Doraemon three-dimensional figure designed by Fragmentdesign, the fashion brand founded by Japan's godfather of streetwear, "Hiroshi Fujiwara"! The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, with an anticipated release in September 2023.
The "VCD fragmentdesign Doraemon" stands approximately 16.5 cm tall. Its color scheme is Fragmentdesign's most iconic black, replacing Doraemon's original blue with a black and white palette. Doraemon's pose is a standing one, with its two cute, round hands placed behind its back. The red collar around its neck and Doraemon's tail have both been changed to gray instead of red. The familiar bell above its pocket now features Fragment Design's double lightning bolt logo. Overall, it truly embodies the "FRGMT" style, distinctly different from the original. It is highly commemorative.
