The "Transformers" brand, spearheaded and released by the internationally renowned toy manufacturer "Hasbro," has been deeply loved and highly regarded by fans and collectors since its birth in 1984. From its initial cartoons, comics, and animated films, to its expansion into video games, live-action movies, and beyond, countless classic characters have traversed various fictional universes. It's truly an unforgettable memory that has accompanied many people as they grew up. The physical toys that bring these characters to life are undoubtedly the most cherished possessions of Transformers fans. And today's protagonist – the "Studio Series" – is an excellent line that not only satisfies the nostalgia of veteran collectors but also attracts new fans to join the fray!
Since its inception in 2018, this highly acclaimed product line has quietly accompanied collectors for five years. As its name suggests, the "Studio Series" encompasses famous characters from various films, ranging from the seven live-action movies to the inclusion of the 1986 animated film "The Transformers: The Movie," and even the "Games Edition" sub-series featuring characters from video games. Not only does it reinterpret well-known characters with innovative designs, but its exquisite transformation engineering and accurate sculpts have also earned the Studio Series an excellent reputation. Let's look forward to more movie and game characters joining this magnificent lineup!
▼The protagonists of this unboxing report include two Deluxe Class figures, two Voyager Class figures, and one Deluxe Class two-pack. The side of the boxes features character codes for easy identification by collectors.

▼No. 86-22 "Brawn" (also translated as Dahan), an Autobot demolition expert from G1 "The Transformers: The Movie." He is a member of the Mini Vehicles, who champions masculinity and often, due to this sense of superiority, disdains non-combatant comrades. This version is an entirely new mold, recreating Brawn's robot and SUV vehicle modes in Deluxe Class size.

▼Included is a display base depicting the "Decepticon Shuttle Ambush," which also marks the heroic end of Brawn's warrior career.

▼The robot mode adheres to the G1 cartoon aesthetic, enhanced with modern interpretations and details.

▼The head sculpt perfectly recreates Brawn's large helmet and resolute facial features.

▼"Ready for a man-to-man showdown, Decepticon scum!"

▼A small rifle is included, which can be stored on his back when not in use.

▼When the new product was first announced, the official presentation even paid homage to the leg mechanism of the G1 original version in this state during a livestream. Veteran collectors surely couldn't help but smile knowingly, right?

▼In vehicle mode, it still retains the strong silhouette and essence of a Suzuki Jimny SJ20. The military green body also perfectly matches Brawn's character design.

▼The front end and grille feature remarkably intricate sculpting, worthy of close appreciation.

▼No. GE-05 "Gamer Edition Cliffjumper," a brave and warlike Autobot warrior from the game "Transformers: War for Cybertron," or more accurately, partly inspired by the DS version of the same game, while also incorporating designs from the sequel "Transformers: Fall of Cybertron." This version is, naturally, a repaint of the same series' GE-01 Bumblebee with a new head sculpt. It similarly includes an arm blade, and an Energon Battle Pistol and Plasma Cannon that can be equipped after detaching the right arm, providing three weapons in total.

▼Includes a game scene display base for "Protect Omega Supreme."

▼Aside from the new head sculpt and color scheme, the basic structure is identical to Bumblebee (and unfortunately, the weakness of the feet not fully touching the ground is also inherited). Weapons can be stored on the back.

▼The head sculpt faithfully recreates Cliffjumper's signature pair of small horns and his tough-guy demeanor.

▼All Gamer Edition characters feature the ability to detach their right arm and replace it with weapon parts.

▼Plasma Cannon!

▼Of course, melee weapons are no challenge for Cliffjumper either!

▼Energon Battle Pistol, equipped!

▼Yellow and red, which one do you prefer?

▼In vehicle mode, it's still a sleek Cybertronian sports car, with weapons mountable on the roof and rear.

▼The compact and curvaceous design is truly beautiful; both are highly recommended for your collection!

▼No. GE-04 "Megatron" (Gamer Edition Megatron), the undisputed overlord of the Decepticons, featuring his appearance from the game "Transformers: War for Cybertron." He led the Decepticons in launching the Cybertronian Civil War, aiming to overthrow the leadership system. The biggest difference from the 2010 version is the adoption of a larger Voyager Class size. His right arm inherits the series' design, allowing it to be detached and equipped with various gun-type weapons. He also wields his included signature weapon, the Energon Mace, and can, of course, transform into his Cybertronian alien tank mode, just like in the video game.

▼Includes a "Secure the Station" scene display base.

▼His signature Fusion Cannon can be directly equipped on his right arm, and the Energon Mace can be freely held or stored in the peg on his back.

▼The head sculpt faithfully reproduces the unique lines and details from the video game version.

▼The right hand also features the detachable function, but this time, no interchangeable weapons are included for him.

▼Articulation is above average; the only drawback is the somewhat limited knee bend angle. DIY modification to remove interfering parts could be considered.

▼Vehicle - Hover Tank Mode. The Energon Mace can be equipped on top of the non-rotating turret. Additionally, it cannot replicate the track-on-ground mode like the old version.

▼No matter what! The market demands it, and this Lord of Destruction with his super Fusion Cannon is simply awesome!

▼No. 103 "Rhinox," inspired by "Transformers: Rise of the Beasts." A member of the Maximals, he adopts a mechanical rhinoceros as his beast mode to hide on Earth, protecting the "Transwarp Key" artifact alongside Optimus Primal and others. This release utilizes a Voyager Class medium size, recreating his fleeting robot mode and beast mode from the film, and includes a large hammer as his weapon.

▼Includes a "Peruvian Jungle Discovery" paper diorama base.

▼You, with your keen eye and sharp mind, must have noticed the small error on the instruction manual, right?

▼Robot Mode. Although it was merely a fleeting appearance in the movie, the toy faithfully recreates it according to the design drafts!

▼The basic concept of the head sculpt is very close to the original animated version from back then, brought to life with live-action movie style details added on top. The Maximals insignia on the chest is rendered via printing.

▼If you observe closely, you'll notice a mixed surface treatment of beast hide and machinery on its body, with even some asymmetrical scratch marks. Certain areas are also painted with metallic finishes, attempting to present a diverse range of textures.

▼Beast Mode. Unlike previous versions, it is clearly interpreted as a mechanical beast, thus, you can see the rhinoceros's biological features and alien mechanical detailing interwoven.

▼The temporomandibular joint is articulated, and the rhino's eyes, like the robot's, are accented with green paint.

▼Next, we just await the arrival of the Studio Series Optimus Primal, and the Maximals will be reunited!

▼No. 86-20 & 86-24 "Prowl & Ironhide" two-pack, inspired by the 1986 "The Transformers: The Movie," featuring Optimus Prime's most trusted lieutenants in the classic scene where they were attacked by the Decepticons and heroically sacrificed themselves. This version utilizes the Earthrise and Studio Series 86 molds respectively, modified with battle-damaged chests and screaming head sculpts, and also includes purple blast effect parts to recreate the tragic scene from the film.

▼The side of the outer box features the battle-damaged appearances of both characters.

▼Similar to the previously reviewed Brawn, it includes the "Decepticon Shuttle Attack" backdrop, and because it's a two-pack, you can use a wider scene for display!

▼The six effect parts included this time are quite stunning and use the same specifications as those from the previous Generations War for Cybertron Trilogy, allowing for interchangeable use.

▼The Autobot strategist "Prowl," skilled in tactics, this time features a color scheme that closely matches his animated appearance, not only retaining the alternating black and white main body combination but also changing the window areas to a cartoon-style solid light blue paint application.

▼The head sculpt evokes his unwilling expression during the massacre, the left chest has been changed to a battle-damaged painted version, and the exposed mechanical sections now include 3mm ports, allowing connection with the included effect parts.

▼Articulation remains the same as previous versions.

▼"Poof! Gone!" Those fleeting, almost background characters who were instantly dispatched in the movie back then were once beloved by children – it's truly cruel!

▼Vehicle Mode. The original "POLICE" lettering on the car doors has been removed, replaced with a police badge + Autobot standard livery, while the rifle can be stored on the roof.

▼"Ironhide," the Autobot veteran, a veritable wall of steel, this time is a slightly modified version based on the Studio Series 86 mold.

▼The head sculpt has also been changed to his dying expression after being blasted by Megatron, the chest, originally a transparent car window, is now a damaged appearance, and naturally, the subtly hidden 5mm port can be used to attach effect parts.

▼Includes dual pistols for holding, and the articulation mechanism is the same as the original color version.

▼Another one 'snapped out of existence.' The film's courage back then to kill off so many veteran characters in one go is truly admirable.

▼In vehicle mode, in addition to the change to clear windows, the sides of the vehicle body also feature new yellow stripes that veteran players have been clamoring for. It truly evokes a strong sense of nostalgia.

▼This can truly be called a 'Fallen Heroes' combo pack; G1 fans should not miss the final moments of these two martyrs!

▼And so, that concludes this latest unboxing from 'Transformers Movie Studio.' From the 1986 animated film and video games, all the way to the latest live-action movies, Transformers has truly quietly accompanied us as we grew up. We look forward to your continued support in the future (bow)! See you in the next unboxing report!
