Following the release of multiple ReAction blister card toys based on "Mars Attacks," American toy manufacturer SUPER7 has recently announced the latest additions to its "ULTIMATES!" action figure series from the film: two versions of the "Martian" – Smashing The Enemy and Invasion Begins! They are scheduled for release in July 2024.
Directed by the visionary "Tim Burton" and released in 1996, the sci-fi film "Mars Attacks" was conceived from Topps' Mars Attacks trading cards. The story depicts a group of highly civilized Martians arriving on Earth, uttering "We come in peace," but harboring ill intentions and repeatedly massacring humans with laser guns. From the absurd yet somewhat cautionary plot, the terrifying alien invaders, the powerful laser attacks that instantly reduce humans to skeletons, and the very bizarre human-headed dog, everything left a deep impression! And of course, there's Slim Whitman's ultimate song against aliens, "Indian Love Call."
These Martians, now立体化 in the ULTIMATES! series, stand approximately 7 inches (about 17.7 cm) tall. They faithfully reproduce the sci-fi futuristic attire and impactful head sculpts as seen in the movie, and are designed based on Topps trading card #1, THE INVASION BEGINS, and card #50, SMASHING THE ENEMY. The gory head sculpt, with one eyeball even falling out, is truly impressive! Coupled with rich accessories such as a detachable helmet, laser pistol, laser rifle, and multiple interchangeable hands, you can recreate many bizarre and fun scenes.
