GOOD SMILE COMPANY, a Japanese figure manufacturer, recently announced that the latest product from its Q-version, low-head-to-body ratio articulated doll series, "Nendoroid Doll," "Holo" from the anime "Spice and Wolf merchant meets the wise wolf," is scheduled for release in May 2024.
"Spice and Wolf (狼と香辛料)" is a light novel series created by Isuna Hasekura, featuring economics, trade, and fantasy. Set in a pseudo-medieval European background, it depicts the journey of the merchant protagonist Lawrence and the harvest deity Wise Wolf Holo, who use experience, wisdom, and even luck to resolve incidents and transform risks into wealth. After being adapted into two anime seasons from 2008 to 2009, a remastered new anime series, "Spice and Wolf merchant meets the wise wolf," is set to be released in 2024.
"Nendoroid Doll Holo" brings the Wise Wolf of Yoitsu to life with a more flexible articulated body than the Nendoroid series, retaining the characteristic Q-version head sculpt of the Nendoroid line. Her entire outfit is meticulously tailored from fabric, faithfully recreating her heavy clothing suitable for northern climates, the pouch filled with wheat grains around her neck, and Holo's most cherished fluffy tail. Compared to figures made purely of plastic, this allows for even more dynamic and flexible posing!
