Japanese model manufacturer PLEX's 'Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure' series today announced the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam,' the 'RX-77-2 Guncannon -SD Gundam-,' scheduled for release in December 2023.
Appearing in 'Mobile Suit Gundam,' the famous mobile suit RX-77-2 Guncannon was a prototype mobile suit used by the Earth Federation Forces during the One Year War's 'Operation V.' In contrast to the close-combat Gundam and long-range support Guntank, the Guncannon was responsible for mid-range artillery support within the team. Its fixed back-mounted armaments include the '240mm Low-Recoil Cannon' for continuous bombardment, and it can also be equipped with the 'Missile Launcher' for barraging suppression.
The 'Jumbo Soft Vinyl Figure RX-77-2 Guncannon -SD Gundam-' boasts an impressive height of approximately 22 cm. Crafted with rich armor details through digital 3D modeling, it perfectly combines the adorable super deformed proportions with cool armament styling. It features simple rotation mechanisms in the neck, wrists, and waist, and the two cannons on its backpack can also rotate their barrels to adjust elevation. In addition to the handheld Beam Rifle, the cannons can be swapped out for the 'Missile Launcher,' allowing for two different specifications in one package!
