The popular action figure series 'S.H.Figuarts', released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collectors' toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., recently announced the latest product from "Kamen Rider Drive", the "Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed Heisei Generations Edition", slated for release in November 2023.
Kamen Rider Drive is the Kamen Rider transformed by the series' detective protagonist, Shinnosuke Tomari, using the Drive Driver and Shift Brace. His base form, Type Speed, incorporates a sports car design and possesses high-speed mobility. It features numerous cool mechanical details and an interesting design with a tire slung diagonally across his body. He can also utilize various "Shift Cars" to change forms and unleash special effects, to combat the mechanical lifeforms known as "Roidmudes" that cause the "Heavy Acceleration" phenomenon, endangering human society.
The "Kamen Rider Drive Type Speed Heisei Generations Edition" being released this time is a re-release based on the initial version launched in 2015, now bundled with weapon accessories that were previously sold with other forms. The Kamen Rider Drive main body, standing approximately 14.5 cm tall, meticulously recreates the red sports car-like exterior design through precise sculpting. The belt section also features rich color applications. The joint design appears to be unchanged. The weapons included are the Door Gun and Handle-Ken, which were originally sold separately. These can be combined with four pairs of interchangeable hands for dynamic posing and play.
