MaxFactory, a Japanese toy company, is releasing an incredibly cute Chainsaw Devil "Pochita" assembly model under its popular and diverse model kit brand "PLAMAX," based on the hit anime "Chainsaw Man"! The suggested retail price is 4,500 JPY, with an estimated release in January 2024.
Created by Japanese manga artist Tatsuki Fujimoto, the dark shonen manga series "Chainsaw Man" tells the story of a world overrun by "Devils." The extremely impoverished protagonist, Denji, becomes a Devil Hunter, earning money by slaying Devils to pay off his deceased father's massive debt, working alongside the Chainsaw Devil "Pochita." In an accident, Pochita sacrifices himself, forming a contract with Denji's heart, resurrecting Denji and granting him the ability to transform into the Chainsaw Devil. This draws the attention of the government's "Public Safety Devil Hunters Special Division 4."
The PLAMAX "Pochita" assembly model makes its debut as a model kit, sized perfectly to fit in your palm at approximately 9 cm! Its rounded orange puppy design is faithfully recreated with parts that can be assembled without adhesive, boasting high accuracy.
