Taiwanese toy brand Beast Kingdom's popular "Dynamic 8ction Heroes (DAH)" product series recently announced a new articulated figure of "Sauron" from "The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring"! It is expected to be released in Q2 2024.

Sauron is the main antagonist in "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy. In the prologue of "The Fellowship of the Ring," he appears in a physically imposing form. At that time, the human king "Elendil" and the High King of the Noldor Elves, "Gil-galad," formed the Last Alliance of Elves and Men and marched into Mordor, triumphantly defeating the Orc armies. However, when Sauron, wearing the One Ring, personally entered the battle, the tide immediately turned. Elendil was struck by Sauron's mace and fell in battle. Yet, Elendil's son, "Isildur," at the last moment, used a shard of his father's sword to cut off Sauron's finger bearing the Ring, which led to Sauron's physical demise and brought about victory.

This figure stands approximately 29 cm tall and features 24 points of articulation. In addition to its more imposing size compared to other DAH characters, the sculpting, as seen in the official images, is incredibly detailed. From Sauron's iconic spiked helmet, the spiky shoulder armor, the intricately carved armor with rich textures, to the highly layered leg armor, everything is exquisitely crafted. You can even spot the One Ring on his right index finger! The cape is made of fabric. Accessories include his signature weapon, the mace, and a pair of interchangeable hands. It looks incredibly cool just standing there!
