The new solo exhibition 【SLIDE】, created by Japanese artist "Yutanpo Shirane" in collaboration with The Little Hut, an art space jointly established by Hong Kong's How2work and Taiwan's Paradise, officially opened today (the 9th). The girls depicted by Japan's highly popular illustrator "Yutanpo Shirane" always wear cute faces, with round eyes and a slight smile that gives them an innocent and charming demeanor. Looking further, one discovers that these girls are all dressed in provocative swimsuits or striking bold, alluring poses. These seemingly conflicting elements achieve a subtle balance through Yutanpo Shirane's interpretation with simple lines, making his works exude an interesting and healthy aesthetic that is sensual without being vulgar.
In addition to the exhibition title "SLIDE," the three-dimensional artwork in the center of the exhibition space also incorporates the skateboarding culture conveyed by Vans, which supports this event. Yutanpo Shirane's iconic female characters are paired with skateboards, showcasing a playful sense of dynamism. Coupled with the on-site merchandise such as T-shirts, tote bags, stickers, ZINEs, and more, it is believed that fans of Yutanpo Shirane will be immersed in the experience.
