Japanese toy company MEGAHOUSE Co., Ltd. (株式会社メガハウス) will release a very interesting and incredibly cute capsule toy this September: "Heart-Pounding Human Body Model (Doki Doki Jintai Mokei) mini"!
This capsule toy can be traced back to MEGAHOUSE's "After School Ghost Stories Series" party game released in 2014. The first installment in that series was the "Scary Dissection Human Body Model," where 1 to 4 players would take turns drawing cards and, following the card's instructions, place various organs back into the human body model. If placement failed, it would trigger a massive explosion of the human body model! Organs from the face to all parts of the body would scatter everywhere, which was incredibly cute.
This scaled-down gashapon version stands at 8 cm tall, redesigning the previous human body model with a more chibi-style 2.5-head proportion. Due to its miniature size, the gameplay has also been adjusted: players take turns pressing to open the abdomen until someone opens it and the face pops out, ending the game! While the gameplay has become simpler, the gashapon version focuses more on creating and enhancing collectibility. A total of five types are available: "Normal," "Zombie," "Cyborg," "Gold," and "Clear." Besides color variations, the Cyborg version transforms muscles into mechanical parts, and the Clear version offers a transparent design revealing everything from muscle fibers to bones – all incredibly cute. Even if you don't play, they look fantastic just displayed.
