American toy giant Hasbro recently announced a unique new collaboration: "Frankentron", a crossover between the Transformers toy series and Universal Monsters' Frankenstein! Pre-orders are now open on the official Hasbro Pulse website, with an estimated release in January 2024.
This "Frankentron" can be described as a heavy-hitting fusion of sci-fi and fantasy. The Frankenstein design is inspired by the 1931 film "Frankenstein", injecting obvious Frankenstein elements into a Decepticon Transformer. This includes the green and lime green colors of the body, patches resembling Frankenstein's stitches, and a head sculpt that is an exact replica of the 1931 Frankenstein. The accessory cannon is modeled after equipment found in the mad scientist "Frankenstein's" laboratory, and an additional purple blast effect part is included. After 16 transformation steps, it converts into tank mode, where the cannon serves as the main turret – incredibly cool!
