Japan's Bandai company's Gashapon toy brand GASHAPON, in collaboration with artists, launched the "ART IN GASHAPON" collection series. Following the release of "ART IN GASHAPON MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO" in partnership with Japanese sculptor "MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO," the second color variation, "ART IN GASHAPON MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO 02," will be released in the third week of this September!
"MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO," originally from Ichinomiya City, Aichi Prefecture, specializes in sculpting animals in a cyberpunk style using clay. Since childhood, he has had a strong interest in weathered devices and natural objects, which imbues his works with not only a strong sense of futurism but also a unique charm that evokes the passage of time and the rusting of objects.
This "ART IN GASHAPON MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO 02" once again features barn owls (メンフクロウ) and horned owls (ミミズク) as its theme. At a size of 5.5 cm, it fully recreates MATSUOKA MICHIHIRO's signature mechanical charm and rusted finish. The barn owls come in three colors: yellow, gold, and mint green, while the horned owls come in purple, white, and black. The already captivating futuristic sculpting, combined with the distressed finish, truly makes one want to collect several!
