Japanese model manufacturer WAVE's bishoujo character scale figure series "DREAM TECH" recently announced the latest product from the mobile game "Girls und Panzer: Senshado Daisakusen!", the "Shimada Chiyo [Oarai Girls] 1/7 Scale Figure", scheduled for release in January 2024.
Shimada Chiyo is the mother of the genius tankery girl Shimada Arisu, the head of the prestigious Senshado (Tankery) school "Shimada Style," and the current Director-General of the University Senshado Federation. Normally, she exhibits the elegant and composed demeanor of a lady, while in Senshado, she demonstrates the adaptable and versatile Shimada Style. Not only is she, along with the Nishizumi Style, one of the two pillars of Japanese Senshado in the anime, but in the mobile game "Girls und Panzer: Senshado Daisakusen!", she and Nishizumi Shiho are also the two pillars of revenue. The two mother characters have released a variety of costume designs, as if in a COSPLAY showdown, becoming even more popular than their daughters.
This time, the "DREAM TECH Shimada Chiyo [Oarai Girls] 1/7 Scale Figure" sculpts her in the most classic Oarai Girls' Academy uniform design, crafted at an overall height of approximately 24.5 cm, depicting her in an ill-fitting uniform. Even though the top is a bit too short, revealing her navel, which is slightly embarrassing, Shimada-mama still strikes a model-like pose with a folding fan in hand and crossed legs, displaying a smiling expression that exudes an elegant aura. The figure features rich details in the fabric wrinkles. Her hair and scarf utilize clear parts to convey a sense of lightness and transparency. The neck contains a built-in joint allowing for slight rotation to change the pose, and it also comes with an interchangeable smiling face part.
