To celebrate the 30th anniversary of "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" in 2024, BANDAI SPIRITS Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS, Japan, will release the latest product "SpaceGodzilla Fukuoka Decisive Battle Ver." from its "S.H.MonsterArts" series, which combines exquisite monster sculpting with excellent articulation technology. The suggested retail price is 16,500 JPY, and it is scheduled for release in March 2024!
Released in Japan in 1994, "Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla" (ゴジラvsスペースゴジラ) is a sequel to "Godzilla vs. Mechagodzilla." The story tells of Godzilla defeating Mechagodzilla and living on Birth Island with Little Godzilla, only to be attacked by the "SpaceGodzilla" descending from the sky...
Known as the "Cosmic Evil Battle Beast," SpaceGodzilla is an abnormally evolved creature formed when G-cells were absorbed by a black hole and fused with crystal organisms and stellar explosion energy. It possesses an extremely brutal nature, high intelligence, and combat abilities superior to Godzilla's. It can fire a Corona Beam that can turn, manipulate gravity, create a shield that completely repels Godzilla's heat ray, and absorb infinite energy by generating crystals, making it one of the most formidable opponents in history.
Based on the previously released "S.H.MonsterArts SpaceGodzilla," the "S.H.MonsterArts SpaceGodzilla Fukuoka Decisive Battle Ver.," sculpted and colored by renowned monster原型師 Yuji Sakai, reappears with a color scheme and sculpt that recreates the Fukuoka decisive battle scene from the film! The overall paintwork has been adjusted to a night battle tone, and the dorsal fins have been changed to a glowing red; it also includes effect parts for SpaceGodzilla absorbing cosmic energy. Additionally, the chest parts have been newly improved, and the crystal structures on both shoulders can be replaced with alternative parts to recreate a battle-damaged state where the crystals are shattered!
