To commemorate the 15th anniversary of its 'ROBOT魂' series, BANDAI SPIRITS' Collectors Division TAMASHII NATIONS today announced the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children', the 'METAL ROBOT魂 Hi-ν Gundam ～AMURO’s SPECIAL COLOR～', scheduled for release in March 2024.
The RX-93-ν2 Hi-ν Gundam is Amuro Ray's dedicated mobile suit that appeared in the novel version of 'Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children', equivalent to the RX-93 ν Gundam in the anime version. Compared to the hastily completed ν Gundam, this machine underwent thorough maintenance and testing, thus achieving more complete performance. Its exterior is designed with blue and white colors, and its silhouette is more robust. The fin funnels on its back are symmetrically fixed to the wing binders and possess a charging function. It can also utilize the 'Hyper Mega Bazooka Launcher', an ultra-large, high-firepower beam weapon powered by the battleship 'Ra Cailum'.
The 'METAL ROBOT魂 Hi-ν Gundam ～AMURO’s SPECIAL COLOR～' is based on the previously released standard version. Corresponding to the earlier 'ROBOT魂 Nightingale ～CHAR’s SPECIAL COLOR～', the exterior armor's color scheme has been replaced with metallic blue combined with pearl white. Joints, exhaust ports, and thruster nozzles feature rich gold and silver paint applications. Numerous areas across the entire unit also boast newly designed body markings, giving the mobile suit a greater sense of metallic heft and high-density detail.
The overall design is fundamentally the same as the standard version. The main joints of the body are constructed from alloy materials, offering both articulation and strength, along with a satisfyingly weighty feel when handled. Accessories include a beam rifle, long and short beam sabers, a shield, and a bazooka, allowing for dynamic battle poses with the dedicated display stand. The fin funnels and fuel tanks on the back also feature articulated designs, enabling the funnels to be bent into a C-shape to recreate firing states.
