Following the Gundam Lfrith Jiu, the 'HG (High Grade)' series of 1/144 scale Gunpla, known for its diverse range of mobile suits and produced by the HOBBY Division of BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd. Japan, today announced the latest product from the official side story Mobile Suit Gundam The Witch from Mercury Vanadis Heart: the "HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Anocta", slated for release in December 2023. This product will be sold exclusively on Bandai's official online store, PREMIUM BANDAI.
The AVP-03 Gundam Lfrith Anocta is an Earth-made Gundam-type mobile suit known as the "Combat-Type Lfrith Jiu." Compared to the clean, technological style of the Lfrith Jiu designed by mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, this Lfrith Anocta, largely designed by Ippei Gyobu, features a more rugged, heavily armored appearance. It is equipped with a fog generator, reverse thrusters on its knees, two beam guns that fold into its backpack, and the lightning rod-type GUND-bit "Narukami" which can be used as twin blades.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Lfrith Anocta" utilizes numerous new parts to recreate the entire mobile suit's exterior armor, faithfully reproducing Ippei Gyobu's unique mechanical design style and color scheme. The Permet Score glowing areas on the head, shoulders, and chest are made with clear black parts and internal stickers, allowing for a choice between illuminated and non-illuminated states. In addition to the main body inheriting the flexible articulation of the Lfrith Gundam series, various weapon effect parts and interchangeable hand parts are also included as accessories.
The two beam guns mounted on the backpack can pivot in all directions via spherical joints. The GUND-bit "Narukami" mounted on the left arm can have its two blades drawn out, recreating a dual-wielding sword and shield configuration. Furthermore, the lightning-shaped effect parts included as accessories can replace the blade to reproduce an electrified state. There are even discharge effects for the hands and a dedicated display stand in the same molded color, allowing for the recreation of scenes where the blades are launched as GUND-bits and then guide lightning through the Anocta!
