BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division in Japan has announced today that the latest product from the most diverse 1/144 scale Gunpla series, "HG (High Grade)", the "HG 1/144 Gundam Aerial [Recirculation Color / Neon Blue]" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury," will be sold exclusively at the major Gundam series event "GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE -EAST/WEST/DIGITAL-."
The XVX-016 Gundam Aerial is a GUND-ARM type mobile suit developed by Shin Sei Development Corporation on Mercury. This unit was modified by President Prospera (Elnora Samaya) from the Lfrith, and before her daughters Ericht's bodies were on the verge of death, their personalities were transferred into Aerial's data storm, becoming a new body. This unit is equipped with armaments such as beam sabers, a beam rifle, and a shield. The shield can be separated into 11 "GUND-Bits," which can not only be used as remotely controlled all-range wireless weapons "Funnels," but also connect to various points on the body and the beam rifle, serving as equipment to enhance mobility and firepower.
The "HG 1/144 Gundam Aerial [Recirculation Color / Neon Blue]" is produced using the same molds as the regular version, faithfully reproducing the highly layered armor design, flexible movable joints, and the glowing effect when the Permet Score is activated on the chest, all through precise part separation technology. Armaments include a beam rifle, beam saber hilt, beam saber effect parts, and a shield. The shield can be disassembled into 11 GUND-Bits for use as remotely controlled beam weapons "Funnels," or attached to various slots on the mobile suit to recreate the "Bit on Form" that enhances the unit's performance.
This product's unique color scheme is made from recycled materials, reprocessed from runner scraps. The black parts of the mobile suit are the original colors of the recycled material, accented with striking neon blue molded colors. In addition to its somewhat fashionable color scheme, it also showcases Bandai's active efforts in environmental protection and carbon reduction in recent years. Accessories include specially designed stickers with the "RE (RECIRCULATION)" logo, symbolizing recycling, which can be applied to various parts of the mobile suit.
