Japan's TAKARA TOMY toy company's gashapon brand, Panda's Hole (パンダの穴), is set to release a rather interesting animal-themed product this September: "DELIVERY ZOO"!
While it's an animal-themed gashapon, this series doesn't aim for cuteness or realistic animal charm. Instead, it grabs your attention with the visual impact of "stuffing animals one by one into large shipping crates"! From the current official images, it appears these animal packages are shipped from a zoo on Earth 5875-00298, from the savanna. There are five types: Cargo Elephant, Cargo Shark, Cargo Crocodile, Cargo Hedgehog, and Cargo Rabbit. The shipping crates can be seen not only as an an extension of each animal's style but also feature playful takes on shipping icons. Although the official website doesn't provide further explanation for this gashapon toy, one can feel the boundary-pushing creativity and a touch of irony.
From a shipping perspective, these cargo animals, with their limbs tearing through the cardboard boxes and sharp teeth exposed, definitely won't make it to their destination smoothly! Something is bound to go wrong, right!? If you approach and play with them from this angle, you could probably take some very interesting photos.
