【SUYATA】Hunter's Poem: Snow Hime

I've been busy with family matters recently and haven't had time to share my work. Finally, with things mostly settled, I can dedicate time to model building and sharing with everyone. This time, I'll be sharing a mecha girl model produced by a mainland Chinese company: SUYATA's Hunter's Poem series, Snow Hime.

I haven't assembled many mecha girls myself; most of them have been from Kotobukiya. This is my first time assembling a mecha girl from a mainland Chinese manufacturer. Aside from the heavy umbrella/backpack causing the arm to struggle with posing, the overall experience was quite acceptable.

Minor parts falling off can be resolved with a bit of reinforcement. The other issue was that the arm's peg joint snapped when I twisted it after assembly, which was quite shocking. Fortunately, I was able to reinforce and salvage it by pinning. I've skipped the costume change part and will just showcase the armed form with the bonus parts.

To clear my backlog, this time I'm sharing a quick and simple straight build with some touch-ups (purple parts). I haven't built models for a while, but I've continued ordering them. With the unbuilt kits piling up, I need to quickly finish them to justify buying the next one, haha!

Below is a super simple sharing and studio photoshoot. I hope you all enjoy it.

▼The number of parts is quite small, which is a blessing for straight builders, allowing for quick completion of a kit.

▼A standard feature for mecha girls from any manufacturer: multiple interchangeable facial expressions.

▼For this Snow Hime, only the purple parts received color touch-ups; all other parts were directly sprayed with matte clear coat.

▼Purple was sprayed using GAIA 019.

▼When spraying purple, you can try applying a layer of white base coat or white primer first. After the primer dries, then spray the purple; this will allow the topcoat to achieve a more vibrant color.

▼Wearing the mask gives her a completely different style.

▼The seam lines on the thighs are very noticeable. Since this is a straight build, I ignored them.

▼The pants utilize special transparent parts, allowing the curves of the hips and thighs to be seen. The transparent parts were sprayed with a layer of matte clear coat.

▼The leg articulation is decent.

▼The 'maiden's bend' is already a basic articulation for mecha girls from major manufacturers.

▼The right hand is the armed hand.

▼A common issue with ball joints: 'twisting and breaking.' I ultimately remedied this by pinning. Please be careful during posing.

▼The retractable umbrella ribs are also a feature of this Snow Hime.

▼This umbrella is incredibly bulky and truly very heavy. It functions as both an umbrella and a backpack.

That concludes this sharing. I hope you all enjoyed it. My next project, if all goes as planned, will be the recently popular Dark Magician.

Since I was too lazy to change outfits (as it requires disassembling many parts), the studio photos directly showcase her armed form. I hope you enjoy these simple studio shots.
