"PRISMA WING", a Japanese anime-themed figure brand launched by Japanese figure manufacturer PRIME 1 STUDIO, recently announced the latest product from the popular manga "Laid-Back Camp△", the "Nadeshiko Kagamihara & Rin Shima 1/7 Scale Figure", slated for release in August 2024.
The manga series "Laid-Back Camp△" (Yuru Camp△), created by Japanese manga artist Afro, tells the story of Rin Shima, a high school girl who enjoys solo camping during the off-season. While camping at Lake Motosu, she encounters Nadeshiko Kagamihara, who rode her bicycle to see Mount Fuji but overslept and found herself in a predicament. After interacting with Rin, Nadeshiko develops an interest in camping and joins her school's "Outdoor Activities Club," embarking on a journey with a group of high school girls to enjoy camping knowledge, outdoor cooking, and other outdoor activities.
This "Nadeshiko Kagamihara & Rin Shima 1/7 Scale Figure" is sculpted by Tomohide Enoki, bringing to life the interaction between Nadeshiko and Rin during their camping trip. Rin holds a warm can of hot soup in both hands, sipping it while sitting on her beloved Vino scooter, and gives a gentle smile to Nadeshiko, who invited her to camp. Nadeshiko, in a dynamic pose, embraces Rin, showing her signature cheerful smile as she expresses her wish to camp with everyone next time.
Both characters feature delicate sculpting, from their flowing hair to their full-body ethnic-style winter clothing. Rich and colorful paintwork and printing are applied to restore the material differences, design patterns, and gradient tones of their hair and various parts of their outfits. Another highlight is the highly accurate Vino scooter, which uses a smooth body surface and paint to express a glossy finish. All headlights are made with clear parts for the lenses, and even detailed component structures, the dashboard, license plate, and beginner's mark are thoroughly reproduced. The base surface is also covered with artificial turf, making the overall craftsmanship quite luxurious.
