BANDAI CANDY, the confectionery toy division of Japan's Bandai Co., Ltd., today announced the latest product in its popular Pokémon confectionery toy series, 『POKEMON SCALE WORLD』: "Paldea Region Iono & Bellibolt," slated for release in January 2024.
A popular character wholeheartedly promoted by official channels since the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, "Iono" is a trending streamer who hosts the popular show "Iono Zone" in the Paldea region. She is also the Gym Leader of Levincia Gym. Her fashion style and performances are highly distinctive and beloved by young people. Iono, who specializes in Electric-type Pokémon, is always accompanied by the equally unique-looking Pokémon, Bellibolt. It has eye-like organs on both sides of its head, similar to Iono's hair accessories, but its true eyes are actually the small yellow dots on its front. If you underestimate it due to its harmless appearance, you might get a shock from its 'Electromorphosis' ability!
The "POKEMON SCALE WORLD Paldea Region Iono & Bellibolt" set is also produced in the series' consistent 1/20 scale, meticulously recreating Iono's exaggerated oversized jacket and her Magnemite-like hair accessories. Not only are the vibrant colors faithfully reproduced, but detailed patterns are also printed. Bellibolt also features a plump, rounded design, with rich colors used to recreate its discharge organs on both sides, its true eyes in the center of its face, and its "power-generating navel" on its abdomen. By presenting humans and Pokémon in the same scale, the set allows for the creation of an adorable miniature world that highlights their size differences.
