Japanese toy brand Prime 1 Studio's statue series "Ultimate Premium Master Line" will release a 1/4 scale collectible statue of "Vergil", the elder brother of protagonist Dante from CAPCOM's renowned action game 《Devil May Cry 3》! It is scheduled for release between December 2024 and March 2025.
《Devil May Cry 3》 is a 3D action game released by CAPCOM on the PS2 console in 2005, marking the third installment in the series. The story is set when protagonist Dante was young and had just opened his office. In addition to Dante, the characters appearing in this title include the female supporting character Lady, and Dante's elder brother Vergil. The plot revolves around the grievances between the two demon-swordsman brothers, Dante and Vergil. In 《Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition》, Vergil becomes one of the playable characters.
This Vergil statue from Prime 1 Studio, like Dante, is based on his appearance from 《Devil May Cry 3》. Sculpted in 1/4 scale, it stands approximately 69 cm tall. Vergil's overall demeanor is cool and aloof, a stark contrast to the wild and unrestrained Dante. His blue long coat, paired with his inner black outfit and long boots, along with his signature weapon "Yamato" in hand, collectively evoke the image of a demon realm noble.
Vergil comes with two interchangeable head sculpts: a standard expression, and an expression for striking the decisive "Jackpot" pose with Dante. The left hand parts can also be swapped between holding the scabbard and holding a gun. Furthermore, the base design beneath his feet, in contrast to Dante's wind demon motif, features a fire demon motif for Vergil.
Similar to the previous Dante release, this 1/4 scale Vergil statue also comes in a DX BONUS version. This edition includes two display stands featuring the 《Devil May Cry 3》 game title logos. Additionally, the interchangeable left hand parts now include a piece holding the demonic sword "Force Edge," allowing for the recreation of Vergil's dual-wielding style. The pre-order bonus is a hair part depicting Vergil's hair wet and drooping from the rain during his battle with Dante in the game, adopting a style similar to Dante's.
