BANDAI SPIRITS Hobby Division, Japan, today announced the latest product from the robot model kit series 'HG (High Grade)', the "Huckebein Mk-III" from "Super Robot Wars OG", scheduled for release on January 13, 2024.
The original unit Huckebein Mk-III, appearing in the "Super Robot Wars OG" series, is a successor machine developed from the Huckebein Mk-II. Conceived with the concept of a "miniaturized, high-performance SRX", it not only features the same "T-LINK System" and "Uranus System" as the R-1, but also the "Tronium Engine" found in the SRX, allowing its pilot to unleash abilities surpassing the SRX through their powerful psychokinesis. In terms of weaponry, it inherits the Huckebein series' Photon Rifle and Graviton Rifle, and can also be reconfigured into the "Huckebein Boxer" for enhanced close-quarters combat or the "Huckebein Gunner" for enhanced flight and shooting capabilities via the "AM Armor Module".
The "HG Huckebein Mk-III" faithfully recreates the cool design by mechanical designer KATOKI HAJIME through precise color separation and part division techniques. Inheriting the Mk-II's articulation design, it not only boasts highly flexible limbs that can bend significantly, but its torso also utilizes a multi-axis ball-and-socket joint design, allowing for multi-directional twisting. Paired with the included clear molded display stand, it can be posed in dynamic battle stances.
Its armaments include the Graviton Rifle, a Photon Rifle that can be stored in the rear waist, Beam Swords that can be stored inside the skirt armor, and the Fang Slasher which can deploy into an X-shape. The two most distinctive map-attack weapons on its back, the "Multi-Launch Missile Pods", can both open to reveal internal missile details. They can also be detached and combined with a stand to recreate powerful firing scenes!
