Japan's renowned toy manufacturer Kaiyodo, under its action figure series "Amazing Yamaguchi" (アメイジング・ヤマグチ), is scheduled to release an action figure toy of the monster "Lunagaron" series equipment (ルナガロ装備) from CAPCOM's action game "Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak" in June 2024! It will be priced at 17,600 JPY.
Lunagaron (ルナガロン) is one of the newly introduced monsters in "Sunbreak," the major expansion for CAPCOM's game "Monster Hunter Rise." Its appearance is similar to the well-known Zinogre, but it features an ice-blue carapace, golden-yellow glowing eyes, and belongs to the Fanged Wyvern species. In the game, it is known as one of the "Three Lords of Elgado" alongside Malzeno and Garangolm.
This Lunagaron series equipment action figure, released by Kaiyodo, is also supervised by renowned sculptor Katsuhisa Yamaguchi. Standing approximately 17 cm tall, it faithfully recreates the look of the Lunagaron series equipment from the game, featuring a complete face mask and light blue armor that boasts sharp, enveloping shapes with white patterns. Through the efforts of Master Yamaguchi, optimal articulation has been achieved.
For weapons, it includes two interchangeable options from the Lunagaron series: the Dual Blades "Full Moon Ice Claw" and the Long Sword "Full Moon Ice Blade" (including its sheath). Especially when equipped with the Dual Blades, it can pose with various important mobility tools, the "Wirebug" accessories and wires. Three sets of interchangeable hand parts and a display stand are also included. Combined with the series' excellent articulated joints, various attack and hunting poses can be easily recreated. As a special bonus for pre-orders placed through Kaiyodo's official online store, a "Throwing Kunai" and its wire will be included.
