The popular action figure series "S.H.Figuarts", released by TAMASHII NATIONS, the collector's toy division of Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS Co., Ltd., has announced the latest product from the anime version of "ULTRAMAN", "ULTRAMAN SUIT ZOFFY -the Animation-", scheduled for release in February 2024.
Unlike the original live-action series' setting of the Space Garrison captain, the ULTRAMAN SUIT ZOFFY appearing in "ULTRAMAN" is the armor worn by Hayata Shin, the father of the protagonist Shinjiro Hayata, and is also known as "Ver.Z". It is an improved version of the pitch-black armor "Prototype ULTRAMAN SUIT" he first used. Compared to the prototype, it possesses combat capabilities similar to the new model and can fire the powerful beam technique "Specium Ray" from the launchers mounted on its wrists.
Based on the anime's design, the "S.H.Figuarts ULTRAMAN SUIT ZOFFY -the Animation-" stands approximately 16 cm tall. Its overall sculpt was created with the cooperation of Tsuburaya Productions' LSS modeling department, faithfully reproducing the anime's body proportions. The red and silver armor is recreated with various metallic paint applications, and the chest features a color timer light mimicking Ultraman Zoffy's emblem. Accessories include 3 pairs of interchangeable hands, a red light color timer, and Specium Ray effect parts, allowing for dynamic battle poses with its flexible articulation.
