Issued by Japan's Bandai Toy Company's Gashapon brand, the 'MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE' series of 'Mobile Suit Gundam' heavy equipment X ensemble gashapon toys, characterized by common connection points and infinite customization, recently announced the release of its latest special edition product, the "EX48 Psycho Gundam Mk-II", slated for March 2024.
Appearing in works such as 'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam', the MRX-010 Psycho Gundam Mk-II is a successor unit developed by the Murasame Research Lab based on combat data from the Psycho Gundam. It similarly boasts an exaggerated height of 40 meters and features improved weaponry and power systems, enabling operations in space. The unit is equipped with a Minovsky Craft System, I-Field, and MA transformation mechanism, along with numerous beam cannons capable of multi-directional firing, and reflector BITs, making it an even more terrifying weapon of destruction. However, its operating system remains Newtype-exclusive, and the Titans utilized the brainwashed and modified Cyber Newtype, Rosamia Badam, as its pilot, once again repeating the tragedy of the enhanced girl.
The "MOBILE SUIT ENSEMBLE EX48 Psycho Gundam Mk-II" stands at 13 cm tall, twice the height of standard products. The entire model features intricate details such as numerous thrusters and is painted in rich colors including deep purple, dark blue, red, and gold. Its torso, limbs, fingers, and many other parts are equipped with articulated joints, and by replacing certain parts, it can recreate its transformed MA form. Accessories include various effect parts and a stand, allowing for the depiction of its Psycho Beam Sword and reflector BITs in firing states.
