Today (11th), Japan's BANDAI SPIRITS company's prize figure brand BANPRESTO unveiled its new product lineup scheduled for release in March 2024. This article will feature the "Toon Blue-Eyes White Dragon" and "Toon Summoned Skull" from "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters"!
In the "Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters" saga, "Maximillion Pegasus J. Crawford's" ultimate ace card, "Toon World (トゥーン・ワールド)," not only led to Kaiba's complete defeat but also gave Yugi a tough time. This "Toon World" card not only transforms all of your monsters into Toon monsters, but Toon monsters also cannot be targeted by attacks, delivering a powerful sense of despair to opponents that completely belies their cute appearance! In the show, Pegasus directly summoned Kaiba's Blue-Eyes White Dragon and used the effect of Toon World to transform it into Toon Blue-Eyes White Dragon. Toon Summoned Skull, on the other hand, was transformed by Pegasus's Spell Card "Copycat" after Yugi's Summoned Skull was sent to the Graveyard. Both are iconic Toon monsters with highly memorable appearances.
While detailed specifications haven't been announced yet, just looking at the official images makes one incredibly eager to collect them. We're sure many of you also dreamed of bringing your monster cards to life as children, perhaps by placing toys on top of your cards! This Toon Blue-Eyes White Dragon faithfully recreates its chibi-fied, low-proportioned body and fierce gaze, with its enlarged fangs and claws being particularly striking. The Toon Summoned Skull also meticulously restores its exaggerated body lines and the action of emerging from Toon World. We hope to see more classic Duel Monsters brought to life in three dimensions in the future!
