■ About T9G / Takuji Honda
T9G, a Japanese artist renowned for his prototype sculpting, has focused on soft vinyl works, sculptures, and paintings as his primary creative fields in recent years. Throughout his career, T9G has created numerous characters, with "RANGEAS" being his most iconic and highly sought-after character among toy collectors for many years. Over the past few years, T9G has continuously crafted various iterations of RANGEAS using different styles; for example, the "excavated" monster ancient artifacts from his 2018 solo exhibition at Dot Dot Dot Gallery in Kwun Tong, Hong Kong, and the MECHA RANGEAS in 2021, which gave RANGEAS new life by spanning across time dimensions.
In addition to giant sculptures and paintings that infuse three-dimensionality into flat forms, what will surely strike collectors' hearts with powerful sculpting is the two-headed RANGEAS DOUBLE. Guest artist hi-dutch's artworks, crafted from a blend of materials such as yarn, wood, and resin, are also quite unique exhibits. Furthermore, the RANGEAS Jr “hi-dutch ver.”, which combines the design styles of both artists, is exceptionally cute and special.
