BANDAI SPIRITS HOBBY Division in Japan has announced today that the latest product from 'Mobile Suit Gundam 00V', the 'RG 1/144 00 XN Raiser', will be released in January 2024. This product belongs to the 'RG (Real Grade)' Gunpla series, which incorporates internal frames, interlocking armor, and new technologies into the 1/144 scale.
The GN-0000+GNR-010/XN 00 XN Raiser is an enhanced specification of the 00 Gundam that only appeared in the side story '00V' settings, existing solely as a design proposal and never actually manufactured or deployed in combat. This unit was originally designed with the 'XN Unit' to ensure equivalent combat power, in case the 00 Gundam and 0 Raiser failed to successfully activate the Twin Drive System after combining. The XN Unit is normally mounted on the 0 Raiser, and when combined with the 00 Gundam to form the 00 XN Raiser, the XN Unit can be assembled into the 'GN Buster Sword III'. Compared to the GN Buster Sword II of the 00 Seven Sword, it is lighter and can be disassembled into two single-handed swords.
The 'RG 1/144 00 XN Raiser' kit is based on the previously released 00 Raiser, featuring precise color separation, intricate part division, and a flexible movable inner frame. It includes newly molded 'XN Unit' parts, a display stand, and newly designed water-slide decals. The kit can be assembled into the 0 XN Raiser (fighter mode) and the 00 XN Raiser (mobile suit mode). In addition to recreating the powerful combat poses of the 'GN Buster Sword III' in its two forms, it also reproduces the auxiliary arms deployed beneath the fighter, allowing for simultaneous use of the 'GN Sword II'.
