Hong Kong model manufacturer FLAME TOYS' die-cast articulated figure series "Kuro Kara Kuri" recently announced the latest product from the manga "ULTRAMAN", the "ULTRAMAN Suit", slated for release in June 2024.
The ULTRAMAN Suit is the reinforced armor used by protagonist Shinjiro Hayata. Developed by the Science Technology Research Institute, this suit is modeled after the original Ultraman and can greatly activate the ULTRAMAN Factor within Shinjiro, whose physical abilities are extraordinary, granting him immense power to combat aliens. It possesses a rich array of armaments such as the "Specium Sword" and "Specium Ray," and has undergone several improvements and enhancements throughout the story's progression.
The "Kuro Kara Kuri ULTRAMAN Suit" is made from composite materials such as ABS, POM, die-cast parts, etc., and is a pre-painted, fully articulated figure standing approximately 21 cm tall. The entire body's design has been reinterpreted by Chemical Attack, imbuing it with high-density details and armor layering that differ from the original design. It also features an original armor deployment mechanism, allowing the shoulder and chest armor to open and reveal internal structures made of clear parts. Some joints are made of die-cast parts, which not only enhances stability but also allows for flexible, human-like movements.
Accessories include "Specium Sword" and "Specium Ray" effect parts, which can be attached to the intricately designed arms that feature deployment mechanisms. Coupled with the LED light-up features in the head and chest, these allow for the recreation of attack poses. Furthermore, it includes two original large armaments: the "Assault Beam Emitter for Offensive Operations" and the "High-Output Ultra Slash Generator for Melee Operations", which combine in-story scientific technology to unleash Ultraman's classic moves, "Attack Beam" and "Ultra Slash".
