The highly popular exquisite deformed Q-version scale figure series DefoReal (デフォリアル), produced by Japan's PLEX company and released by X-PLUS company, will launch its latest "Shonen RIC" store exclusive product, the "DefoReal Mothra Larva (1961)" pre-painted finished figure, based on the monster movie "Mothra"! The suggested retail price is 11,000 JPY, with an estimated release in February 2024.
The great monster Mothra (モスラ), a symbol of peace, first appeared in Toho's 1961 film "Mothra." With its giant moth-like appearance, vibrant colors, and guardian deity setting, Mothra frequently makes spectacular entrances at crucial moments, bringing emotion and dazzling, magnificent scenes to audiences, making it deeply beloved. In its larval stage, resembling a silkworm, it can grow up to 180 meters long and can spin silk to bind enemies during battle.
The "DefoReal Mothra Larva (1973)" pre-painted finished figure, measuring approximately 10 cm in height and 16 cm in length, presents the already adorable Mothra larva in an even chubbier and cuter form with its approximately 2.5-head Q-version proportion! Its rounded shape and uneven, potato-like skin features are exquisitely sculpted! The base features scenes of a city, cars, and tanks destroyed by Mothra, allowing one to feel the overwhelming power brought by the film~
